OUTREACH MINISTRY IN SAND SPRINGS, OK

Bethany Holiness Church is proud to reach out to our community and share the love of Christ. We are an outreach ministry in Sand Springs, OK, that helps to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those around us. Find out how you can be involved in one of the ministries below.

CREEK COUNTY CLEANUP

Creek County Cleanup is a nonprofit organization created to establish a group of people who are ready and willing to pray for a miracle of deliverance in Creek County. We realize this is no small request. However, we operate under Ephesians 3:20-21, which states, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

According to the Creek County Sheriff’s Office, Creek County includes many different towns and cities, such as:

  • Bristow
  • Drumright
  • Kiefer
  • Mannford
  • Oakhurst
  • Sapulpa
  • Slick
  • Depew
  • Kellyville
  • Lawrence Creek
  • Mounds
  • Oilton
  • Shamrock
  • Milfay
  • Olive
  • Bowden
  • Gypsy
  • Silver City

In these towns and cities of Creek County, there are desperate people battling life-altering addictions, such as drugs and alcohol. Homes and families are suffering greatly because of them. The members of our outreach church ministry give them help and hope. Some of the issues we see include:

  • Men and Women without Spouses
  • Parentless Children Who Are Scared, Hungry, Cold, Angry, and Bitter
  • Moms and Dad Distracted with Addictions—Repeating the Cycle, Thinking It Is Just the Way It Has to Be
  • Individuals Detained and Unable to See Their Families
  • Thousands of Tax Dollars Spent Because This Massive Situation is Worsening
  • Souls Dying Lost

These substances have wreaked havoc on our families and our homes. Won’t you help us take a stand? Thankfully, we know One who has the power to deliver us from ALL ADDICTIONS, and we are joining together to pray for a massive miracle in Creek County. We know God can do it, and by faith, we are trusting is Word that He will do “exceedingly abundantly above” what we are asking.

Through the jail ministry, we are experiencing hope when they are touched in our services. However, when they get out, they are overcome again and again by the influences that take them right back to the same path. Our goal is that Creek County will be cleaned up, so that when they get out of jail, they don’t have to go back to such a toxic environment. When they look at their neighbors and their families and see the changes in them, faith will remain alive and multiply.

**If you don’t know God and want to, we would be glad to share with you the good news of the hope there is in knowing our Lord. Visit or contact our church to speak with someone today.

JAIL MINISTRIES

Over the years, there has been a group that has gone to the Creek County jail to minister with the Word of God. Thank God for people like Senator John Young who brought about the opportunity for the jail ministry. There’s no telling what it would be like if we had not had that for a barrier. Bethany Holiness Church has been involved since 2006.The purpose in this was to help those in jail to see that there is hope of a better life through Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We are trying to convey the message that the destructive path people have chosen to walk will bring them much pain and, in the end, death. However, that is not the end of the story. When God sent His only begotten son to be a sinless sacrifice for the sin of the world, He offered us a gift like no other. First, we must accept that we are sinners and believe that Jesus gave up His life for us so that we might have life. Then, we must confess our sins to a holy God and receive the forgiveness that only God can offer. Only then can we partake in this gift that God has so graciously offered to the world and gain eternal life through Jesus.

This is the message that the world needs to hear, and we are trying to take the Gospel to those in need. There are many who are lost and hurting, and it is only through grace that we have hope. We must offer hope to the world! This is our goal in going into the jails to minister.

HOLINESS MISSIONS TO AMERICA

Who are Holiness Missions to America? We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was formally founded by Rev. D. Todd Sloggett in 2007 in Sapulpa, OK. Rev. Sloggett has had extensive background in this type of work for almost a decade and a half.

In the beginning, a homeless mission outreach church was started. It grew very quickly. God blessed and saved many. In the first few months of the program, there were dozens of homeless, drug addicts, drug dealers, prostitutes, alcoholics, and mental patients being saved and delivered. It was overwhelming. The finger of God had touched it. We had many ideas that were new to modern churches but old to the church as a whole, and a handful of about 25 people (mostly young ministers and their families). Our work got up and running quickly.

As the local staff worked for God in Tulsa and Creek counties in Oklahoma, Rev. Sloggett (still evangelizing) took these ideas around the country and preached them in pulpits. He taught them in cars, diners, living rooms, fellowship halls, and street corners. A small group of loosely affiliated ministries began to use these ideas and even morph or expand them to fit their own community’s needs. This taught Rev. Sloggett even more. He began to use certain Biblical principles to “diagnose” a community’s needs and then work with local churches, community organizers, and governments on how to meet these needs Biblically.

Eventually, God began to knit hearts and minds together around the country. Today, we have HMA churches and HMA works scattered all over the eastern two-thirds of the United States. There are over 180 volunteer staffers. More than 40 of them are in the greater Tulsa area alone. They come from more than 20 twenty different churches and multiple denominations. The support for these workers comes from everywhere imaginable, and God always gets the glory.

Now, we are focused on expanding our current outreaches, helping others start and build theirs, learning from our experiences all of the time, and being the tools that churches need. We help them fight against problems that have been ignored too long or are just too difficult for the saints to handle by themselves. Many times we have been told, “I wish we would have had this when so-and-so had their problem,” or “I wish the church could have done this when such-and-such lost out.” Well, guess what? Now, we have it, and now we do it!
